    АномалияУ нас с Сирусом были обычные товарищеские взаимоотношения, поначалу... трудно было не впечатлиться им. Он был лучшим из Убийц Древнего – умнейшим из всех, кого я встречала.

    Вместе мы всецело отдали себя борьбе с растущей угрозой внутри Атласа.

    Но, как и со всеми устремлениями, которым отдаёшь себя полностью, мы сделались слепы к опасностям вокруг. Слишком одержимы поставленной задачей, чтобы подумать о цене – для себя и друг для друга.

    Постепенно Атлас завладел Сирусом. Он изменился не только внешне, стали другими его цели. Исказился во что-то... неузнаваемое. То, что существовало между нами, умерло вместе с ним прежним.

    Возможно, это была моя вина. Я должна была заметить знаки, должна была подготовить его к тому, что нас ждало. Я должна была заметить многие вещи... теперь я предпочитаю не замечать. Предпочитаю не замечать тлен, обезображенность... упадок.

    Случившееся с Сирусом не должно случиться вновь. Никто больше не будет потерян. Довольно боли. Вот почему мой труд в Атласе остаётся не только жизненно важным, но и необходимым.
